Loot distribution systemBare Necessities uses a combination of guild ranks plus the
EPGP system for loot distribution.
The EPGP systemTo make this work everyone
must install these two addons:
-
EPGP -
EPGP LootMasterTo sum the system up in a few words:
- 'EP' is short for 'Effort Points'. You get Effort Points whenever you somehow help the raid. This can be anything from showing up on time for a raid to downing a boss.
- 'GP' is short for 'Gear Points'. You get Gear Points whenever you loot an item. Each item in game costs a fixed amount of GP (this is coded into the addon). Offspec bids get the item for half the main-spec GP cost.
- a player's 'priority' is computed by dividing his/her EP by his/her GP. For example, if I had 100 EP and 120 GP my priority would be 100/120=0.83. When bidding for an item the player with the highest priority will get that piece of gear (subject to rank limitations, see below).
EP rewards - progress kill: 100 EP
- non-progress kill with 0 wipes: 50 EP
- non-progress kill with less than 3 wipes: 20 EP
- non-progress kill with more than 3 wipes: 0 EP (don't do this

)
- on time and prepared for raid: 30 EP
- time spent in raid: 30 EP/hour (3 EP every 6 minutes)
Ranks and loot distributionThere are currently 3 ranks that are eligible for loot:
-
Bare Raider (this includes officers) - people who are constantly showing up for raids and have proven themselves to be capable players. They will have the highest priority when receiving loot. They also have priority for raid spots over members and recruits.
-
Bare Member - will have priority for loot that none of the raiders want for their main spec. Raiders rolling for off spec gear will have the same priority as members rolling for main spec. Members rolling for off spec will have the same priority as recruits rolling for main spec. Members will have raid spot priority over recruits.
-
Bare Recruit - lowest loot priority. The normal trial period is no less than 2 raid weeks (that means a minimum of 6 raids). In order to be eligible for loot a recruit must first accumulate 200 EP. Upon reaching this threshold they will have their GP adjusted so that their priority is
1.00.
Players are further split into 'looting tiers'. Within each tier the people with the highest priority (as dictated by the EPGP system) will receive the item that is being bid on. The following diagram explains the tier system:
Code:
+---------------------+
| Raider - Main spec | Tier 1
+---------------------+
| Raider - off spec |
| Member - main spec | Tier 2
+---------------------+
| Member - off spec |
| Recruit - main spec | Tier 3
+---------------------+
| Recruit - off spec | Tier 4
+---------------------+
AdvancementPlayer advancement from one rank to another will be decided upon by the officers during meetings which will be held on Vent after each raid.
Do NOT pester officers with advancement requests !Whenever a player is advanced from one rank to another
his/her EP and GP will be adjusted so that their EPGP priority is 1.00.
